Lattizori honored for 400th Win as Longhorns defeat Lassiter
Coach Steve Lattizori was honored last night at home, receiving a commemorative plaque, marking his milestone 400th career win. Gordon Pritz, Associate Superintendent and a former wrestling coach himself, presented the honor to Coach Lattizori.
Following the honors, the Longhorn wrestling team engaged Lassiter's team in a heated, back and forth dual meet. With 4 weight classes to go, Kell was down 25-24. But following three pins in succession and a technical fall, Kell ended the night on top, winning 47-25.
Ultimately, Kell recorded six (6) pins and won nine of 14 weight classes over Lassiter. Pin falls were recorded by Michael Lattizori, Andrew Stringer, Benjie Grifenhagen, Matt McCrory, Brady Hull and Zach Wade. Yousef Ali picked up the win via technical fall, while Alec Stringer and Mustafa Ali won by decision respectively.
Next on tap for the Longhorns is the County Duals this weekend at Sprayberry.

Attention Longhorn Wrestlers & Supporters:
This year, the Longhorn Wrestling Booster Club will spend $560 per high school wrestler, assuming the team is made up of 32 boys. This money does NOT come from the school but comes from you, the parents and supporters of the wrestlers. As such, you have two choices: 1) write a check for the full amount or 2) participate in our various fund raising activities to raise the amount above or some portion thereof. If you write a check, we not ask you to do anything other than show up and watch your son wrestle.
If you participate in our fund-raisers, we need an initial deposit from you of $225.00. All checks should be made out to "Kell Wrestling" to get the year started. If you succeed in earning the entire $560 then the $225 will be given back to you
